A few later suggestions included
Tori Amos Album "Tales of a librarian" which includes an insert where the songs are classified in Dewey...

A track on the new Divine Comedy album 'Absent Friends' which contains the nugget --

'Daddy drives the mobile library.
He works peripatetically.
He doesn't get much time to play with us
So we just read and make up stuff.'

I reckon the Divine Comedy's "Booklovers' Song" would fit in quite happily too...

There used to be a Norwegian group who parodied a boy band... one of their songs was called Library Girl.
